By RV, Train & Ferry
When you wake to the sound of waves lapping at the beach outside your RV window, remind yourself: This is not a dream. A dream could not encompass so much from Mexico’s sunny coasts to the rugged Copper Canyon in the Sierra Madre Mountains. Envision a first class train ride from sea level to 8000 feet in elevation through powerful canyon landscapes and an excursion back in time to see the ancient Tarahumarras living in caves. The vast Copper Canyon is four times larger than USA’s Grand Canyon and 1000 ft deeper. An unbelievable Gondola ride will take you from Divisdero lookout to a mesa for an unparallel 360 degree view into the midst of the Canyon. The adventuresome vacationer seeking “bragging rights” about their unique travels will enjoy the highlight of this tour…a trek to the bottom of the Canyon on the most scenic drive in all of Mexico. What seems to be a dream continues onto the winter paradise of Mazatlan for three glorious days before you and your RV board an ocean going ferry ship. This voyage across the shimmering Sea of Cortez takes you to play in Baja, the longest peninsula in the world. Another dream come true awaits you in the Baja… a close up encounter with Grey whales and their babies. Fantasy’s Ultimate Land, Sea and Rail vacation is truly a life enriching experience and promises to be far better than your dreams!

Today when Fantasy guests catch their first startling glimpse of the canyon cutting deeper into the earth than the Grand Canyon… all things seem dwarfed by its grandeur.
The closer you get, the more you see. The canyon walls climb from desert flora to high pine forests, wrapping around fertile valleys dotted with crystalline mountain lakes. Intricate twists of the canyon reveal waterfalls, wildlife, archeological sites and the dwellings of the shy Tarahumara Indians, called the most primitive tribe still living in North America. More than 50,000 semi-nomadic natives still live in this region in the traditional style of their ancestors.
The ancient explorers in Copper Canyon had some advantage over contemporary travelers; on foot or horse, they could more easily get an eyeful of this mystical land without a partner nervously reminding them to keep their eyes on the road. Luckily, RVers can now tour this wonderland while gawking and gasping to their heart’s content.
How? You have two first-class options. For the passenger train experience of a lifetime, you may leave your RV parked at a secured RV park in Los Mochis and travel aboard the Premier Express Train and stay at a deluxe hotel at the rim of the canyon. If you prefer to ride in the comfort of your own wheeled home, you can take your RV with you, securely fastened to a specially chartered platform car on the Piggyback Rail System. Either option leaves you free to stare and utter exclamations as the train climbs to 8,000 feet, over bridges, into tunnels and through terrain that Reader’s Digest called “the most dramatic train ride on earth.”
We have incorporated Copper Canyon into many of our Mexico tours... How could we not want to share a place so magical?
Join Fantasy RV Tours on a First Class Passenger Train to the Copper Canyon. Described as North America's most scenic train ride we provide an opportunity to really see the magnificent scenery of the Copper Canyon aboard the Premier Express Train on the Chihuahua-Pacifico Railroad. We park Rv’s at a secured RV park in Los Mochis and travel abroad the train staying at a deluxe hotel at the rim of the canyon. We believe that the experience is truly worthwhile and that you will enjoy the scenery and people of this unique region.
