It’s time to renew Fantasy friendships, make new friends and have a great time doing it! We’re talking Reunion Rally in Urbanna, Virginia – a time when Fantasy celebrates our most cherished guests and the times we’ve spent together. The 2018 Reunion Rally takes place April 12 through 17 at Bethpage RV Resort in Urbanna, Virginia and a limited number of spaces are still available.
Bethpage RV Resort has been named the National Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds’ “National RV Park of the Year” not once, but three times. The park’s 700 full hook-up sites, complete with freshwater lake, a huge water park and other amenities, are located along the beautiful Rappahannock River near Chesapeake Bay. The small but charming historic port town of Urbanna is home to Virginia’s Official Oyster Festival and claims to have more boats than residents. It’s a fascinating part of the country – one you won’t want to miss!
Rally goers convene at Fantasy’s Get Acquainted Social – a time to meet up with previous tour companions and make new friends. Everyone heads out the next day for guided bus tours of this historic area – stepping back in time in Colonial Williamsburg, where dozens of original and reconstructed buildings depict life in the early American colonies. From there, it’s a short drive along the Colonial Parkway to the Yorktown Battlefield. It was here in 1781 that George Washington’s American and French forces attacked the British army, causing them to surrender and thus ending the Revolutionary War. After a Colonial tavern lunch, we return to the park to enjoy the evening’s dinner theater entertainment.
Local gastronomical delights continue the next day when Rally guests enjoy a delicious fresh seafood Chesapeake style lunch after a rousing game of miniature golf. That afternoon, display your crafts and hobbies at the Rally Craft Show, or just enjoy browsing the creations of talented fellow guests. A fun evening awaits – Fantasy’s traditional charity auction with prizes galore with all proceeds going to the local Make-A-Wish Foundation. It’s followed by the Fantasy Colonial Costume Party – a chance to show your patriotic colors and relive history by dressing as a famous notable American, a local pirate or sailor or even a national historic landmark – Statue of Liberty comes to mind!
There’s an authentic Riverman’s Breakfast the next morning, and the chance to relax and watch some illuminating travelogues on many of the Fantasy tours scheduled around the world. Fantasy staff are on hand to answer questions and share experiences for many upcoming travel adventures. It’s all followed by an ice cream social and an evening sharing conversation, snacks, beverages and prizes while playing Fantasy Bingo.
Fantasy is offering a Q&A with Fantasy founder Nel Filliger on the final full day of the Rally. The party continues into the afternoon when Fantasy’s Got Talent show takes place. Yes, you should participate. Or at least cheer on your brave new friends!
After Happy Hour, the evening is a special occasion. It’s Fantasy’s Farewell to the “Rivah” Dinner – a tradition at Reunion Rallies because it’s when Fantasy staff honors past guests, many of whom will receive Frequent Traveler Awards. It’s also the final night together, and time to celebrate new friends and experiences by dancing the night away.
As rally goers prepare to depart the following day, Fantasy serves up the traditional Goodbye Continental Breakfast, bidding farewell to friends old and new.
You don’t have to be a prior Fantasy guest to participate in the Reunion Rallies – it’s for anyone interested in the tours or just wanting to have a fun experience with other Fantasy guests.
