A “lofty” feast for your eyes, this annual event fills the blue skies of New Mexico with a kaleidoscope of color. You’ll see hundreds of balloons take flight with evening glows, mass ascensions and even a Special Shapes Rodeo. Fantasy raises the bar by including area excursions: Old Town Albuquerque, a visit to the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center, a tour of the Turquoise Museum and the Sandia Arts & Crafts Festival.
